TINUBU CAN'T FIGHT OIL THEFT WITH INSINCERE MATCHING ORDERS

It is sheer self-indictment for President Bola Tinubu to be giving the military and other security chiefs marching orders to end oil theft in the South South of the Niger-Delta.

These armies of occupation have long been established in all oil fields as agents for aiding and abetting the oil theft they are funded to fight at huge financial toll on the commonwealth.

The conspiracy of duplication of oil assets security structures has become an emblem of the organised looting of the nation's oil wealth by successive governments in shamelessness.

By giving marching orders to security chiefs to end oil theft and assets vandalism which has made Nigeria the oil and gas producing country with the most bloated operating cost globally, Tinubu seems to have lost his memory on why he retained his predecessor's faith in undermining its army of occupation to duplicate oil assets protection with engagement of militants.

With no proven wealth or record of experience and expertise in such field other than their history of arms struggle against state, including sabotage of oil assets, we are told Tompolo, his Tantita and others so gratified with multi-billion naira running oil assets surveillance contracts were doing so well and restoring normalcy in oil production.

But the reality is the direct opposite. While government is playing politics with oil theft and gratification of militants and civilian associates, the oil companies are crying that their pipelines are under increasing threats. Some have even resorting to transmitting to terminals by boats.

The reality check is that oil assets protection, whether by Tantita, militants or the military, or both conspiring is a scam. They are all failing to prevent the illegal oil bunkering.

The South-South has become a settling ground for the military who collude with illegal bunkerers. Where is the value for Tompolo and his Tantita earning the billions of gratification when oil theft worsens? What is the value of Tinubu's matching orders to a failed army of occupation to end oil theft?

I don't think Tinubu is serious with his usual noise of using the military, Tompolo and his Tantita to fight illegal bunkering in South South of the Niger-Delta. The federal government should direct every oil company to protect their facilities from being vandalised by engaging competent local surveillance contractors and modern technology that can end illegal bunkering rather than playing hide and seek with Tompolo and Tantita for his one-man show and military that have failed.

The military could support the surveillance contractors if the Military/Police/DSS are called by competent surveillance contractors when necessary.

Tompolo and his Tantita are just being compensated for doing nothing but to engage in fake propaganda of fighting illegal bunkering whereas they are just receiving free money.

Tinubu can't fight oil theft with insincere matching orders. They say you can't do same thing same way all the time and expect a different result.
