THE NEED FOR ALL STAKEHOLDERS AND THE ENTIRE US CITIZENRY TO EMBRACE THE MESSAGE OF PEACE AND UNITY AMONGST THEMSELVES, ESPECIALLY BETWEEN REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS, AND FOR THE CNN AND OTHERS TO BALANCE THEIR REPORTING ON THE US PRESIDENT
With the recent reports of what was described as Pipe bombs sent to several prominent US Democrats, and the different accusations, counter-accusations and backlash coming from different angles in the US political landscape that followed, all of which has further heated-up the US polity, we believe there is need for the parties and stakeholders concerned in the US to shield their swords and act in the best interest of their country and be the example the world wants to see.
We therefore advise President Donald Trump, Members of the US Congress, Republicans and Democrats/Non-party-members, and the US Media, especially the CNN, to sincerely embark on a message of reconciliation and unity between and amongst themselves. We believe this will bring the United States of America (USA) more united and peaceful, especially in the face of what is happening now in the US. There is need to do this so that President Trump’s campaign of making America Great again can be more successful. Regardless of who is to be blamed for what is happening right now in the US, there is need for all stakeholders and the entire US Citizenry to rise above all of their differences by accommodating each other and managing some of the criticisms (be they constructive or not) against each other, and stop the blame game. What should be of paramount concern to every US citizen is the unity, peace and progress of the country. In other words, there is need for the President Trump and the entire US political leaders, including the US Media, to do whatever that needs to be done to end this blame game and war/exchange of harsh words between the varying groups of the American people.
We also advise that there is need for the US Media especially, particularly the CNN, to be polite, objective and balanced when reporting whatever activities and events happening in the US, especially those that are concerning Donald Trump as the President of America. Again, regardless of anything, or whatever differences in political opinions/views the CNN and its owner and Management Staff/workers, might have about President Trump and his administration as a Republican, the crux of the matter is that the Office of the US President deserves to be given the due respect. And since Donald Trump is currently the occupant of that White House Office, he surely deserves to be respected as well. Freedom of speech and expression does not mean President Trump should not be respected by the US Media. He is the leader of the US and deserves all the respect that should be given to a sitting President.
The US as a whole, regardless of the party or faction they belong to, should focus more of their attention and energies on nation-building, and stop all forms of hostility, negativity and hate-speech within and amongst themselves. The United States of America (USA) is still regarded by many across the globe as the greatest country in the world, and an upholder of democracy. And the developing countries are looking up to the US as the foremost leader in the world. As such, whatever actions/inactions and happenings that are going on in the US, it has a way of influencing what happens in other climes.
So, while we advise President Trump to be more-friendly and accommodating in dealing with US citizens that are not in agreement with his political views and actions, which include the media, especially CNN, we also advise the US media and the CNN to ‘balance their reporting,’ this includes to stop bringing in/entertaining ‘only’ guests that are obvious anti-Trump critics, on their daily broadcast programmes. The US Media and the CNN, should realize that the world still sees the US as the greatest country in the world, but if the occupant of the US President seat, which is Trump, is not respected and given the honour due to him, then it means the entire US should not be respected by others. When the CNN, as a leading global network, is seen disrespectful and always critical of its US President, then they are also telling the world to disrespect and become critical of the US as a whole and its citizens.
For instance, the way and manner they reported the recent protest over President Trump’s visit with his wife to Pittsburgh to commensurate with those whose family members were killed by a gun man in a recent attack on Jewish worshippers gathered at the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, is totally uncalled for. President Trump obviously made that move to visit the scene of the incident with his wife, as a reconciliation effort towards building peace and unity amongst US citizenry. Such a move was that of unity, but they US Media, especially the CNN, turned it upside down with their style of reporting, practically sabotaging the efforts of the US President. It was as if they did not want President Trump to visit the said scene, so as to obviously use it against him in the near future. What is he going to do there with his wife other than to pay his respect to the bereaved families? Trump is the President of the entire USA, as such, he has the right to meet with those who are bereaved, as well those who were wounded in the said attack that are still receiving treatment in hospitals. Is it everything that will be ‘politicized’? As the President of the US, there is absolutely nothing wrong if he decides to visit the scene of the said incident.
Also look at the Caravan of thousands of people from the Central America as migrants, which includes men, women and entire families, moving in droves and walking through Southern Mexico in the hope of reaching America. The US Media, especially the CNN, have not been asking the right questions about this ugly development, to report to the world where these people are coming from? Why are they leaving their Honduran city of San Pedro, trekking all the way with the hope of getting to the US? Why are they moving in such numbers trying to get to the US, when there is no crises or war in their home base? Even when President Trump threatened to revoke the birthright Act, the same US Media and the CNN started accusing him with all kinds of things. But we all know that without a war situation, people do not just troop in their thousands to another country and expect to be given asylum.  The bottom line is that the US President, the Republicans, Democrats, The US Congress and the US Media, especially CNN, should realize that they all have a role to play so as not to divide the US. They should focus of bringing all the races and party members together as a nation.
We believe what is paramount right now, is for the US President, as the country’s leader, to do the right thing for the good and in the best interest of his country. He should be seen as always patriotic and loyal to his country. But the ‘blame game’ will not bring about peace and unity amongst the different stakeholders in US, but rather, it will only complicate things. The blame game is not the solution in addressing the anger and division amongst US citizenry. They should look for ways to live as one, and as the greatest and most powerful country in the world, so that other developing countries will continue to look up to them.
President Donald Trump remains the Chief Representative of US right now, as its number One Citizen. As such, the US Media and the CNN, need to tone down their search light and criticisms on Trump. And President Trump on the other hand, as well The US Congress, Republicans and Democrats, also need to play their role to foster peace and unity in the US. The current cold war/hash tones and fragile/unfriendly relations between the US Republicans and Democrats, and the US Media/CNN in-between, should stop, in the interest of the US citizens, and global view of the US as a foremost leader. The United States of America (US) is the foremost world leader, and whatever they are seen to be doing by the developing countries, can be replicated in other climes and used to truncate global democratic ideals - which the US stands for. This advice, should be given the needed attention by all parties concerned in the US.
