THE HEARTLESS RUMOUR OF PRESIDENT BUHARI'S DEATH AND NIGERIA HAVING AN IMPOSTER AS ITS PRESIDENT
For some weeks now, the social media and other media outlets have been awash with a very unpleasant 'resurfaced rumour' about President Muhammadu Buhari being dead, and that the existing sitting President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is an imposter by name, who they claim was cloned to look like Buhari. For us, this rumour of President BUHARI'S death and Nigeria having an imposter as President, is the most wicked and evil resurfaced story of the year.
For some persons to say that Nigeria's current sitting President is an imposter, and that the real President Buhari is dead, is wicked, and the biggest scam any one can think of just because of their botched political ambitions. The questions are: Are they telling Nigerians and the world that the African Union (AU) would allow an imposter of a supposed dead President to be its Chairman? Are they telling us that the United Nations (UN) will allow an imposter of a supposed dead Nigerian President to attend its meetings and deliver a speech? Or currently be attending the Paris Peace Forum, without anyone knowing about such a deception? Are they telling Nigerians and the world that even all the major international media networks like the CNN, BBC, Skynews, London times, London guardian, Washington post, New York times, etc., are not aware of this wool over their eyes that they could not have exposed and reported it? Let us be real for goodness sake!
Are these people, who are spreading and fueling this rumour not aware that every country, especially the developed nations, have their own intelligence gathering officers to know everything and major changes that are happening in other countries, particularly changes in developing countries like Nigeria? These developed nations even know more things about Nigeria than most Nigerians know about their own country. And we think they would not blow the lid off, if the said rumour has any element of truth in it? Haba!
Though, we have heard this rumour sometime last year, but it is being alleged that the current wave of the same rumour was allegedly resurfaced and fueled by the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha and his counterpart, the Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun, because they were denied by the APC national leaders to impose candidates in their respective States during the recently concluded primaries.
Whether it is them or not, or whatever the case may be, the bottom line is that it is simply wicked, cruel, and evil for anyone to spread rumours about the death of another, or even wish for the death of another person, just because of one's political ambitions or whatever might be the reason. It is simply not justifiable. This makes us to wonder where is the empathy in humanity and dignity of life, for such a sad thing as death to now be used and toiled with by some Nigerian politicians and elites, who are simply bent on giving a dog a bad name so as to destroy it in other to foster their selfish ambitions. How cruel and wicked can some people be?
