ON THE MASSIVE RIGGING OF THE GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION IN DELTA STATE
It is no doubt that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Delta State PDP and INEC officials concerned in Delta State, were all involved in the massive rigging that took place in the last Gubernatorial election in Delta State, and we expect Nigeria to develop with pretence, that all is well?
We admire US/UK today but we are not ready to make the necessary sacrifices to get there, and the Nigerian elites are not bothered because they live as if there is no tomorrow. Majority of Nigerian educated elites are really ignorant on what life is all about. I often ask myself, how many cars do I need and how many can I drive at once? How many rooms do I need or beds to sleep in at a time? How many sitting rooms do I need to sit in and relax at a time? In my little house in Effurun where I live, there are four rooms and toilets and two parlours that have not been used for over four years. Whenever my children come on a visit, they don't spend more than three days. And as they come, my wife and I are reminded by them that they are with their return flight tickets. When I ask them to stay just a few days more, they would say, Daddy, see my return ticket, leaving me with no choice but to let them go. That is life for us.
All these ephemeral things that politicians and elites are striving for, are vanity upon vanity. Where are the billionaire Abiola and Okotie-Ebo today with all their wealth and connections? All the wealth of King Solomon, even his magnificent palace are seen nowhere today. But Solomon is still remembered today and in years to come, for his divine Godly WISDOM and Knowledge as inscribed in Biblical scriptures. Socrates of the BC era is still known today, not because he ruled in ancient Greek, but because of philosophical thoughts, wisdom and knowledge. Jesus Christ was not honoured and respected by His own people, but today His powerful name is mentioned million times in every second. All this boast that Ogboru scored nothing is done out of ignorance.
Let me state a fact, Ogboru in my own opinion, is the most popular and accepted candidate in the history of Delta State, whether they rigged him out or not. He is more popular than any governorship candidate. At the age of 25 years, he was already a billionaire. He is indeed a great man. He has made his name in this State. Ogboru will remain a great man, as his name still brings fear to the bad politicians in Delta State.
