ON FEMI FANI KAYODE'S HARASSMENT AND OUTBURST ON DAILY TRUST REPORTER - TOTALLY UNCALLED FOR

As I saw the viral video online of Femi Fani Kayode (FFK) flare up and rain of abuse on a Daily Trust Reporter who simply asked him a question, I could not help but wonder how rude and arrogant FFK is. Such public display of one's displeasure over a question asked by a journalist, clearly suggests a serious character flaw of a supposed public figure like Femi Fani Kayode, who has been in Government for decades.
Couldn't he have just ignored the question or any question for that matter that may appear displeasing to him? Rather than abusing a journalist who was merely doing his job. His anger on the journalists is absolutely uncalled for? Once you have been in Government, you automatically become a public figure, and as such, you are constantly in the midst of journalists, who have the official right to ask probing questions whenever the opportunity presents itself. Femi Fani Kayode ought to have known this, and he is expected to have some level of tolerance. But his display of anger shows how intolerable and unstable he is as a person.
Besides, in a called Press conference/interview, meant for the purpose of answering questions, the person in question should expect any question from the journalists involved. Femi Fani Kayode's wealth and political connections do not give him the right and license to publicly abuse a man like that. Nobody forced him to be in the said Press conference/interview. I am also glad that the Nigerian Union of Journalist (NUJ) have taken immediate steps to demand a retraction of his uncivilised action against a journalist. Public office holders, be they in Government or not, must always acknowledge the watchdog role of the media, and learn to comport themselves in that light when asked probing questions.
