EVEN UNDER HALLUCINATION, OLORI MAGEGE MUST BE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL TO ZIK GBEMRE

I'm hardly lured into responding to nonentities who take 'panadol' for unworried targets of my advocacy for probity in public places.

I'm compelled to break from that intentional disposition to address some depressed Olori Magege for the sheer level of pettiness he exhibited to bark up the wrong tree, with hate against me in pretentious defense of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.

It is common knowledge how Magege, from his wretched standing, gained notoriety from indulgence in the business of blackmail against Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan upon becoming Governor of Delta.

The then governor needed no expert diagnosis to tell the nature of Magege madness at the time. Even the blind knew he was suffering acute hunger and hardship.

Dr. Uduaghan,  a trained medical doctor, knew the cure for Magege's dementia wasn't drugs, injections or surgery. Magege was in dire need of stomach infrastructure.

He made Magege head the Delta Waste Management Agency, 'abi' Board, one of the patronage tools a sitting governor use to widen his sphere of influence.

Within weeks of tasting stomach infrastructure with an official car, cash to 'catch cruz', an official to feel he belongs and all the perks of office, Magege transformed from Uduaghan blackmailer to praise singer overnight.

But his ilk are too predictable, can't be trusted for long. Who would trust a career blackmailer? Uduaghan tamed and tolerated him. His successor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa wasn't interested, wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole.

With no blackmail contract, he made desperate move to sell his craft to opposition Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege. No way. In a matter of months, Magege was back to square one, wretched and forgotten. Under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Magege remains an outcast of the PDP hegemony over Delta.

This is the gratitude Magege owes Zik Gbemre. He suddenly found out that dropping my name is a priceless opportunity to draw the Governor's attention. Magege 'wan use me see front', without being grateful.

Am not fazed by the abuses, but just to prove Magege as a pathological liar will hardly find another benevolent Uduaghan to reward his blackmail for appointment business. Magege 'kueki'.

He branded me "self styled political activist", like I care whatever that means. Then the most malicious lie from the pit of hell, he recollecting first "meeting him (Me) was probably 2007 or so in Gbagi’s Woodbridge Hotel. He said I was the hotel manager. I served him and his friends cold beer. The hotel has since gone under and who knows perhaps due to my mismanagement."

I don't have to prove anything, but I remember a Woodridge Hotel was at a time built in the premises now serving as the Plaza Gbagi owned in Effurun. Olori Magege knew the place so well should know it was remodelled to a shopping plaza and the hotel moved to the other side of the road as Golden Tulip and now Signatious Hotel.

I never stepped into that premises as Woodridge Hotel, still haven't as Plaza. How a depressed Magege hallucinated meeting me serve him drinks in 2007 shows how much hunger and hardship has affected his psyche.

For Magege or anyone interested in my work history, I  had a stint in then outstanding JJC Pharmacy Ltd Warri owned by Chief  Johnson Ukueku for a paid job as a store keeper in the pharmacy's warehouse in the 70s before leaving for studies at Federal School of Arts & Science Ogoja for 'A' levels and attended UI.

After graduation I served the NYSC in Lagos, teaching at the Trinity Technical College, Olodi-Apapa. In the 90s I managed Gario Memorial Specialist Clinic owned by Dr Udoro Uwedjojevwe in his absence without money attached to it.

I worked with a real estate firm as property manager in the 80s before being Managing Partner of Biebison & Company Ltd, in real estate.

Incidentally, this is the point to refresh Magege's erased memories with a bitter hard fact. He doubts where he knew me, but I know exactly where I had encountered him in the most dramatic appeal.

As a Founding/Managing Partner of Biebison & Company Ltd, we managed Koloko Estates, off Enerhen Road where Olori Magege lived with his family. In 1990, he could not pay rents. We served him Orerokpe Court eviction order after prolonged failure to pay accumulated arrears of rents.

The Court in judgement evicted him and out of leniency we let him leave with his properties because he was highly indebted to our client, Chief Koloko. That was how Olori Magege moved to his home town of Orho-Agbarho, because he couldn't afford rent outside his home town.

I'm not a career or part time Nigerian politician, so no interest can make me deny my path with Olorogun Kenneth Gbagi. Like Gbagi, I'm an Ughievwen (not Ujenvwen by Magege). I got intimated with Gbagi in course of his last guber race for the 2023 elections.

We had a growing friendship cut short by his shock demise. Before then, I was no where close to Woodbridge Hotels for Magege to have dreamt up me serving drinks in Gbagi's Hotels. Gbagi was a younger Ughievwen brother and he addressed and related with me as a genuine elder Ughievwen brother before his friends and associates. No one who knew us would tell Magege otherwise.

Of all he admits hearing about me, it is his perceived "bashing" of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who doesn't care if Magege exists that he is fixated on. The interest is simple, attempting to use my name to get the governor's attention.

Tacitly, he rates Oborevwori as a better governor above all his predecessors based on having perceived most leadership experience, from being Community Chairman to being Councillor, two term Assembly Speaker and now governor. How myopic.

So for Magege, that's the criteria for experience. Like Olorogun Felix Ibru needed to live his high industry and business standing to first become Agbarha-Otor Chairman, then Councillor, then Assembly Speaker, before becoming governor. 'Ekpa'.

President Donald Trump didn't attempt being any US city mayor or congressman before running for Presidency. He is the US President for a 2nd Term.

Is Olori Magege worth my attention, a wretch cashing in on dropping my name to get the governor's attention for stomach infrastructure?

He can use my name in the bid to gain relevance again. Uduaghan gave his blackmail business attention. Okowa didn't. He is assumed voluntary Chief Adviser to Oborevwori, a position the governor already handed out of compassion to political deadwood, Chief Ighoyota Amori.

Magege, 'I free you to use my name oo. E favour you, good for you, e no favour you, your suffering continues. You dey find money to complete that oversize house you start for Agbarho'.
