CORRUPTION IN NIGERIA IS MORE THAN LEADERSHIP QUESTION

Nigerian problem is not leadership because the leaders of today were ordinary men yesterday but the moment he/she gets elected or appointed in government he/she grows audacity to loot and care less about his roles as a leader.

The entire system is rotten, the private and public sector inclusive. Nigerians derive joy in stealing. Nigerians derive joy in accumulation of illegal wealth. Nigerians prefer to obey laws in foreign lands only.

Most of them who say the problem of Nigeria is leadership are the same people when elected or appointed will loot and loot public wealth of the people. The problem of Nigeria is every person is involved. If they hear of scarcity of fuel in Lagos, the Warri and Port-Harcourt fuel dealers will induce scarcity.

The vulcaniser, if you don't sit by him he will charge you for extra patched leaks. The mechanics will steal parts of your car if you don't sit by him and rice seller will re-bag rice to smaller sacs. The garri sellers will put papers inside the cup she uses in selling garri.

The corruption in Nigeria is not limited to leaders. The degrees, diplomas and certificates are now cash and carry. All sectors are riddled with corruption.
